A number of passengers posted the surprising results on social media.
Passenger Adam Groves, in particular, was pleased with the handling.
“A great way to end a special trip where I proposed to my fiancee,” he said wrote on Twitter.
EasyJet did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation and comment, but the airline did Groves Photo Retweet.
The pilots of other flights reportedly performed similar turns to give everyone a view of the charged plasma from the sun colliding with the Earth’s magnetic field.
