T-Mobile customers can get MLB.TV for free until 2028


T-Mobile Thursday said It will continue to be offered to its customers for free MLB.TV Subscriptions through 2028 as part of the company’s latest deal with Major League Baseball. T-Mobile writes that this deal has been its most popular offer over the past eight years.

MLB.TV plans start at around $150 per year. The service allows customers to access live broadcasts of home, out-of-market and away games. Customers get access to pre- and post-game shows, and can pause and rewind games.

CNET’s Matt Elliott She found MLB.TV’s blackout restrictions frustrating, but out-of-market baseball fans can still find plenty to enjoy about the streaming service.

While MLB.TV is a great feature for T-Mobile customers, the country’s second-largest wireless carrier revealed earlier this year that the data of 37 million of its customers had been stolen in a breach. The hack was it Fifth data breach in five yearswhich raises concerns about the security of the carrier.

T-Mobile also said Thursday that it will test the automated ball system at some Minor League games using the carrier’s 5G network. The carrier will continue T-Mobile Little League Call Up Grant Programalso.
