With the release of iOS 17 for iPhone and tvOS 17 for Apple TV, there’s a new level of connectivity between your Apple TV, which is paired with Siri remotelyand your iPhone. In a similar vein to the existing iOS Find My feature used to find a misplaced phone or other Apple device, you can now use Siri to track down your remote when it goes missing.
When you activate this feature on your iPhone, a radar of some sort appears on the screen, blinking and blinking based on how close the lost remote’s signal is. As you get closer, the blue background gets bigger and brighter, before finally filling the entire screen when you’re right above the remote control. The only prerequisites for using this feature are an updated Apple TV 4K to tvOS 17 and the iOS 17 iPhone you can link it to.
