The company said on Tuesday that Microsoft has begun building an AI chat interface directly into its most important software product. Microsoft added AI search results and AI chatbot for its own Bing search engine in feb. It relies on OpenAI, an artificial intelligence powerhouse that Microsoft has invested in, for its core language processing technology. Partly thanks to the feature, Mehdi said Bing usage has crossed the 100 million daily threshold, though he did not disclose the pace of growth.
Also at Build, Microsoft announced that it is making plug-in technology available for Bing and Windows Copilot so developers can integrate their own software. This will allow you to take advantage of those applications using Microsoft AI interfaces.
And Microsoft announced that OpenAI uses Bing search engine data to help improve the ChatGPT chatbot. Search engines can be used to “found” generative AI tools that can often generate incorrect information.
